Remote workers and long stays
Kigali has become a favourite base for remote workers: reliable internet, safe streets, good coffee and a time zone that overlaps with both Europe and the Gulf. A car lets you live in a quieter, cheaper neighbourhood such as Kibagabaga or Kicukiro instead of paying premium rent in Kiyovu, and still reach coworking spaces and the weekend drives out of town.
Business travellers

The December and summer holidays are the busiest weeks of the year. Book early, ask for a Sorento if there are more than four of you, and mention child seats when you book.
The charges that make a cheap quote expensive
- Basic insurance only. A low daily rate with third party cover and a large excess is not a bargain. Ask for the excess in writing.
- Delivery fees. Some companies charge to bring the car to your hotel or the airport. Ours is free.
- Kilometre caps. Fine for pure city use, a problem the first weekend you drive to Lake Kivu.
- Extra driver fees. A second driver is free with us if they present the same documents.
- Vague deposits. Get the deposit amount and the refund terms before you pay.
How to keep a Kigali rental cheap
- Rent by the week or month. The daily rate falls with every step up in length.
- Choose the RAV4 unless you need seats. It is the cheapest car in the fleet and uses less fuel than the bigger SUVs.
- Book outside peak weeks. December, Easter and the big event weeks at BK Arena push demand up.
