How much is self drive car rental in Rwanda?
From USD 45 per day for a Toyota RAV4, USD 50 for a Kia Sorento, USD 75 for a Land Cruiser Prado and USD 110 for a Land Cruiser. Weekly rates are lower per day, for example USD 280 for a week in the RAV4. All rates include comprehensive insurance and unlimited mileage inside Rwanda.
Is insurance included in the self drive rate?
Yes, comprehensive insurance on the vehicle is part of the quoted rate rather than an upsell at the counter. Cross border travel into Uganda or Tanzania needs additional third party cover, which we arrange for you in advance.
Can I pick the car up at Kigali airport?
Yes. Airport delivery and collection are free. We meet you at the arrivals exit with the vehicle, do the handover there and you drive straight out.
What happens if the car breaks down?
Call the 24/7 number saved in your phone at handover. We arrange roadside assistance and, if the vehicle cannot be fixed quickly, a replacement vehicle so your itinerary is not lost.
