- We recommend a vehicle honestly, including telling you when the cheaper one is enough
- You receive a written quote with the total, what is included and what is not
- Confirm and we hold the vehicle for your dates
- We deliver to Kigali airport arrivals or your hotel and do the handover with you
- Return anywhere in Kigali, or at the airport for your outbound flight
What to check before you book any Rwandan rental

- Is the insurance comprehensive, and what is the excess if something happens
- Is mileage genuinely unlimited, or capped per day with an overage charge
- Is the fuel policy full to full, or the pre purchase policy that never refunds the difference
- Who answers the phone at 9pm on a Sunday if the vehicle will not start in Musanze
- Is airport delivery free, or added as a fee at the end
- Can they legally authorise a cross border trip if you plan one

How far in advance should I book a car rental in Rwanda?
Two to four weeks is comfortable for most dates. For June to September, the December holidays, or if you specifically need a Land Cruiser or a rooftop tent vehicle, book earlier because those sell out first.
Do I pay a deposit to rent a car in Rwanda?
A deposit confirms and holds the vehicle for your dates, with the balance settled at handover. The exact amount is stated in your written quote before you pay anything.
Can I rent a car in Rwanda with a foreign licence?
Yes. A valid foreign licence held for at least two years is accepted, together with an International Driving Permit if your licence is not in English or French.
Is there an airport surcharge?
No. Delivery and collection at Kigali International Airport are free, and so is delivery anywhere in Kigali city.
